The Gruuv Entertainment was founded by Matthew Palmieri, known as “Matty P” in 2022. His vision was to create interactive DJ entertainment, professional experiences and quality productions at every event. The Gruuv has been involved in many charitable events such as Movember fundraisers in 2021 and 2023, Thanksgiving Food Drives from 2019-2024 and Christmas Toy Drives. The Gruuv participates yearly in these events and has decided to take it to the next level this year.
Gruuv owner Matthew Palmieri is motivated to give back and make a difference for men’s health in our community. He wants to create awareness, gather people together and advocate for men’s health now and in the foreseeable future to make a difference.
Our mission is simple: to raise vital funds for The Movember Foundation which is allowing Prostate cancer patients to get more care and support, with breakthroughs in treatments not just in Canada but all over the world. These funds will be used to find new breakthroughs and screenings in testicular cancer, prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

TAKING ON MEN'S HEALTH GLOBALLY
Movember, the month formerly known as November, is when brave and selfless men around the world grow a moustache, and women step up to support them, all to raise awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Men are dying on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons. A growing number of men – around 10.8M globally – are facing life with a prostate cancer diagnosis. Globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men.
Across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 69% of all suicides. Movember is uniquely placed to address this crisis on a global scale. We fund ground-breaking projects all over the world, engaging men where they are to understand what works best and accelerate change.
